Upcoming Activities

  • May 31st – Memorial Day – 8:30 am. We are the Color Guard, not just the Pledge. We could use a bugler for reveille! Afterward we are looking to place flags on the graves at Bonita Cemetery.
  • June 5th – Kayak Build Day 3
  • June 7th – Last Troop Meeting before summer Party
  • June 19th – Kayak Relay Race

Past Activities

  • May 3rd – We Welcomed Pack 109 Crossover Scouts! Welcome Dean, Leland, Lorenzo, Prrataap and Grayson to Troop 109!
  • May 8th – Kayak build start – Kayak build with Scouts began!
  • May 15th – Swim Tests – Swim tests for rank advancement, summer camp prep and merit badge requirements were a great success. The kids had fun in the water and got their swim certifications!
  • May 22nd – Day 2 of kayak build!
  • May 22nd – Troop 109 supported the Bonita Bike Safety Event by running a hot dog stand. Thank you everyone who helped out with this event.

Philmont’s newest employee

We want to congratulate our very own Eagle Scout Stefan for getting a summertime internship at Philmont Scout Ranch! Stefan will be working with the Conservation team at the Boy Scouts of America’s premier High Adventure base, with more than 214 square miles of rugged northern New Mexico wilderness. Way to go Stefan on your hard work and we hope you have a blast!
