FREINDS OF SCOUTING

If you missed our family fun day/Kayak Relay Race/BBQ you also missed our one and only annual Friends of Scouting (FOS) presentation.

It would be great if every family made a pledge to FOS. It costs our Council $285 per scout to maintain our camps, and fund our council scholarships. Some of this comes from our annual fees. The important thing to know is your FOS donation stays right here in our community.

When I say community – I am not talking just about Troop 109 – I am talking about the community of all Scouts families. The ones who can barely afford the annual fee and the uniform. This is the heart of the Friends of Scouting. To extend the opportunity of Scouting to all and to lower the barrier for the adventure and training.

If you have a pledge card, fill in out and bring it to me at a meeting or mail to the Council office. If you did not get a pledge card, see below or reach out to me to request one. We are about 1/3 of the way to our goal.

What pledge amount is expected? No amount is too little, and no amount is too large. $5, $20, $250 …. Got more? Give More!

YIS,
David Schmitt
